ISIS mastermind al-Baghdadi has been killed in an operation carried out by the United States Special Forces; al-Baghdadi had been leading the evil terrorist organization since 2010; Reports indicate that he died after detonating his own explosive vest; Trump: Something very big has just happened!
On Saturday, US Special Forces carried out an operation inside of Syria that resulted in the death of ISIS mastermind, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Reports indicate that as US forces infiltrated his compound, al-Baghdadi fled via a dead-end tunnel with three of his children. As US forces were approaching, led by a military K-9, he detonated the explosive vest he was wearing, killing himself and his children, as well as injuring the dog. Additionally, two of his wives are reported to have done the same, taking their own lives, and his bodyguard was killed in the raid as well.
President Donald Trump tweeted on Saturday evening, “Something very big has just happened!”, raising the suspicion of people everywhere.
The Iraqi military stated, “After constant monitoring and the formation of a specialized task force over an entire year, the Iraqi National Intelligence Service acting on accurate information was able to locate the den in which the head of Daesh terrorists Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and those with him were hiding in the Syrian province of Idlib.”
After a couple of controversial weeks regarding the Trump administration’s decision to remove troops from the immediate region in northeastern Syria, this news comes as a breath of fresh air regarding the concern of a re-emergence of ISIS.
