Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to the shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue in the United States.
18 were killed and 6 injured during the shooting at the Tree of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Saturday morning Sabbath services. The gunman, Robert Bowers, an anti-Semite, carried out the attack with an assault-style rifle and handguns yelling “All Jews must die.”
He was taken into custody by law enforcement and SWAT team forces. Four police officers were injured in the shoot-out. The police confirmed no children were killed in the attack.
Prime Minister Netanyahu gave a short address following the attack, stating Saturday night “I was heartbroken and appalled by the murderous attack on a Pittsburgh synagogue today. We stand together with the American people in the face of this horrendous antisemitic brutality. And we all pray for the speedy recovery of the wounded.”
