Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be travelling to the US next week to formally sign Israel’s new agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE); The ceremony is to take place at the White House.

At the request of US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be travelling to Washington D.C. next week to visit the White House. The reason for Trump’s invitation is for the signing ceremony regarding Israel’s new agreement with the UAE.

Furthermore, UAE officials will be travelling to Israel the following week to continue building on the new relationship. Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the brother of the crown prince, will also be present at the White House.

Netanyahu stated, “at the invitation of President Trump and to participate in the historic ceremony at the White House on the establishment of a peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.”

The ceremony will be taking place on September 15th.

The two countries have already been cooperating in several ways over the last couple of years. And recently, the UAE moved to remove a law that led to the boycott of Israel.
