Leader of Hamas vows to launch rockets into Israel for six months if the ‘blockade’ on the Gaza Strip is not removed; Multiple threats of military action; Sinwar: We can turn the enemy cities into ghost towns if they decide to attack us.

Monday, the leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, vowed to launch rockets into Israel for six months if Israel would not adhere to his demand to remove the ‘blockade’ from the Gaza Strip. Regarding the blockade, he stated, “The blockade and strangulation on the Gaza Strip has come to kill Gaza and its residents – and yet we have accomplished a lot over the last two years,”.

In his long rant against Israel, Sinwar stated, “We have a military force in the Gaza Strip that the enemy is making a big deal for. We have hundreds of kilometers of tunnels, hundreds of control rooms above and below the ground, thousands of anti-tank missiles and thousands of mortar shells…We can turn the enemy cities into ghost towns if they decide to attack us.”. What he fails to realize is that he has only further validated all of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s claims regarding the terror coming from Hamas in Gaza.

Flexing his military muscle, Sinwar added, “The whole world must know that in Gaza there are about 70,000 armed young men from all the Palestinian factions, and we have young people who believe in the Palestinian cause and will achieve the purpose of the people,”.

With officials from Egypt seeking to mediate the hostile situation between Hamas and Israel, Sinwar refused to back down, vowing to strike Tel Aviv with rockets for six months, adding, “We have hundreds of kilometers of tunnels and thousands of anti-armored weapons and locally made rockets,”, again, only verifying what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been saying all along.

He would close his rant, stating, “We have built this power and will continue to build it – not to protect the Strip, not to protect ourselves, but to achieve our people’s dream of freedom and return.” The question is, return to what? The land of Israel? The problem with his argument is that it’s built off of the false narrative that anyone but the Jews could possibly be the rightful owner of the land of Israel.

Sinwar is now the second person of notoriety in the Middle East to threaten the existence of Tel Aviv, following in the steps of the leader of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). As these leaders of terror continue in their determination to erase God’s chosen people of promise from the face of the earth, may the words of Psalm 121 sound even louder:

Psalm 121:1-4
I will lift up my eyes to the hills-
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
