Israel conducted several airstrikes in Syria last night that resulted in twelve casualties; Those killed were Iranian-backed militias from Iraq & Afghanistan.

Late Saturday evening, Israel carried out another set of airstrikes in Syria – This time, in the Deir Ezzor region, located in the eastern portion of the country. These attacks came just one day after Israel struck and killed several (nine) Iranian-backed militias in western Syria. As of Sunday, there are twelve known casualties as a result of the attacks on Saturday night.

It’s reported that there were eight strikes just before Midnight, all of which targeted Iranian storehouses in the Deir-Ezzor region. Apparently, these warehouses had just been replenished with munitions and various weaponry just days prior to the attack; all of which were destroyed as well as other military vehicles.

Those killed are reported to be of Iraqi & Afghani origin.
