At least nine casualties are reported after Israel carried out strikes on Iranian targets in Syria; The strike took place in Masyaf, which is located in the western region of the country.
Following the common pattern of flying through Lebanese airspace on their way to Syria, Israel conducted a strike on Iranian targets on Thursday. The strike took place in Masyaf, which resides along the western border of the country, not far from the Mediterranean coast.
It’s reported that at least nine Iranian-backed militants were killed in the strike, and more are expected to die in the coming days as they sustained severe injuries.
Targeted in the attack were several defense factories that belong to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Though the factories are “owned” by Syria, they’re managed by the IRGC and used to produce missiles. Other weaponry was also destroyed in the attack.
