A pair of Israeli airline companies believe that direct flights between Israel and Morocco are just months away following US President Trump’s announcement of the normalization of ties between the two countries.
Israel’s El Al and Israir airline companies are both optimistic that direct flights between Tel Aviv and Casablanca will be able to begin in what is reported to be as soon as just a few months. This comes after the White House orchestrated another peace deal, making Morocco the fourth Arab nation to normalize its ties with Israel in the last five months.
Israir CEO Uri Sirkis claimed that if both sides are serious, flights could be in place in just three months. El Al also revealed that it’s pursuing travel between the two countries, as such a flight would be highly sought after among the Israeli audience. They intend to begin flights to Casablanca once all of the necessary approvals are in place.
