The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and other Israeli security forces are continuing to target terror cells throughout the West Bank (Judea & Samaria); Despite multiple clashes with Palestinians, several arrests have already been made since the end of March.

Amid the recent terror attacks that were carried out inside of Israel, the IDF, at the appointment of the Israeli government, is facilitating a new operation known as ‘Breakwater’. The operation targets terror cells, primarily throughout the West Bank (Judea and Samaria), as the Palestinian terrorists responsible for the recent attacks have come from this region.

The operation surfaced after Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called for Israeli security forces to take the offensive to prevent more attacks inside the Jewish state.

Just last week, in the first attack since the end of March, three young Israeli men were killed in a shooting spree on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv. Two of the men were lifelong best friends from Kfar Saba. Following the attacks in March, after the operation was launched, the IDF arrested 31 individuals associated with terror plots in one night despite the clash(s) that took place.

On Wednesday of this week, the IDF made more arrests on terrorists planning an attack in Jerusalem over Passover, which begins on Friday evening (Passover Eve). More arrests are expected to occur as Ramadan is underway, sparking a rise in terror among the Palestinians.
