The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is reported to have targeted Iranian-backed interests on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, as well as Damascus; Multiple casualties reported; Additional strike in eastern Syria.

In what has already been a very active week for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has carried out multiple strikes on Iranian-sponsored targets in the last 48 hours. Airstrikes are reported to have occurred in the area of Damascus, as well as the Syrian side of the Golan Heights. And later in the day on Wednesday, another strike took place in the eastern Syrian city of Al-Bukamal – perhaps the most notorious region for Israeli strikes in the last year.

Concerning the attack that took place on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, reports indicate that structural damage took place, as well as eight Iranian-backed casualties. Also hit in this series of attacks that ranged from the Golan Heights to Damascus was Iranian military outposts, surface-to-air missile vehicles, military barracks, and other Iranian interests.

As for the attack on Wednesday evening in the eastern Syrian city of Al-Bukamal, the extent of the damage is largely unknown as of yet. However, more Iranian-backed fighters from Iraq are believed to have been killed.
