The United Arab Emirates (UAE) intercepted an additional attack by the Iranian-backed Houthi Rebels in Yemen on Monday; This is Iran’s second proxy attack on the UAE in the last week.
Houthi Rebels initiated an additional attack on Monday, once again targeting the UAE. According to reports, the Rebels fired two ballistic missiles, which were both intercepted by air defense systems. Monday’s attack in the direction of Abu Dhabi was the second attack within a week to target the UAE since the Houthis expanded their vision for terror in the Gulf Region.
Iran, the world’s number one sponsor of terror, has funded and supplied the Houthis for years throughout the Yemeni Civil War, which has resulted in the world’s leading humanitarian crisis. Only recently did the group expand its vision for terror in the region to include the UAE in addition to Saudi Arabia.
One recent report stated that American military forces also fired defense missiles during the Houthi attack on Monday.
