The Iranian-funded terror proxy posted footage online of new suicide drones they’ve acquired; The drones have been part of the attacks on Israel, but the IDF has downed all of them.
As Ramadan concludes and the violence continues throughout Gaza and Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has essentially been nonstop in its deterrence of hostile projectiles via Iron Dome. However, as reported on Thursday, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has now downed something different from Hamas’ typical rockets, and that would be an explosive-laden suicide drone.
Hamas posted footage online recently showing its militants launching the drones.
The drones are reportedly assembled in Gaza, and the IDF shot one down while heading to its destination in Israel on Thursday. According to a report by the New York Post, “A short while ago the IAF downed a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) that crossed from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. The UAV was monitored by the Aerial Control Units from the moment of crossing to its interception.”
While the drones might be assembled in Gaza, the IDF believes the necessary components are likely smuggled. The IDF has reportedly shot down all of the drones launched by Hamas this week.
Since the onset of this week’s events, nearly 2,000 rockets have been fired from Gaza.
