The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that Europe has become the epicenter of Coronavirus outbreaks, passing even the number of China. On Friday, WHO confirmed that there are now over 145,000 cases around the globe.

In what WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
is referring to as a “tragic milestone” WHO has now confirmed that Europe as the epicenter of Coronavirus outbreaks, surpassing even China when they were dealing with their highest number of outbreaks, and Iran, who can’t seem to slow things down.

Ghebreyesus confirmed that “Europe has now become the epicenter of the pandemic with more reported cases and deaths than the rest of (the) world combined apart from China…more cases are now being reported every day than were reported in China at the height of its epidemic.”

Reporting the most deaths in a 24-hour period to date, Italy reported more than 250 deaths while the country remains on lockdown as over 1,200 have died.

Turkey has now cancelled flights to several European countries and many European countries are closing off their borders.
