The IDF reportedly shot down a drone belonging to Hezbollah on Tuesday, the Iranian-funded terror proxy headquartered in Lebanon. The event took place after the drone entered Israeli airspace. According to the IDF, they had been monitoring the drone’s flight for some time before shooting it out of the sky.
The IDF took to Twitter after the event, saying, “We downed a Hezbollah drone that crossed from Lebanon into Israel today. The drone was monitored by our soldiers throughout the incident. The IDF will continue to operate against any attempt by terrorists to violate Israeli sovereignty.”
Tuesday’s event is the latest in a series of similar occurrences resulting in the IDF taking out one of Hezbollah’s drones. The military remains unsure as to the extent of what Hezbollah was aiming to achieve.
