Pierre Krähenbühl has stepped aside amid the ongoing probe into ‘ethical misconduct’ at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine Refugees; An investigation has been in place since July; UN Secretary-General: …commit to the transfer of critical funding payments to enable UNRWA to bridge its significant financial deficit.

With the outcome of the ongoing probe within the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) for Palestine refugees, Commissioner-General Pierre Krähenbühl has stepped aside. The ethics probe began back in July of this year, citing misconduct by multiple senior staff members of the organization.

Problems are reported to have come to the surface in 2018 when it was revealed that staff members had created a hostile work environment, full of ‘bullying and intimidation’. The organization is also in the midst of a serious financial crisis, and during this financial downfall, Krähenbühl took multiple trips to the Gulf states where he enjoyed a significant amount of time traveling at the expense of the organization (and your tax dollars).

In the wake of this probe, Holland and Switzerland have stopped funding the UNRWA. The United States withdrew all funding in 2018. The UN Secretary-General has now, “called upon donors and partners to commit to the transfer critical funding payments to enable UNRWA to bridge its significant financial deficit and ensure it is able to carry out its unique and vital role in serving over 5.5 million Palestine refugees.”

No one with common sense has ever questioned the level of hypocrisy pouring out of the United Nations, and this event certainly won’t help their case. Furthermore, the UNRWA is responsible to better the lives of the “Palestinian” people, but as they lecture the world on everything Israel is allegedly doing wrong and how the world should sympathize with “Palestine”, people within their organization are serving up a platter for themselves.
