The commander of the Iranian-backed paramilitary group known as Hashed al-Shaabi is now vowing strong revenge on the United States, following in the footsteps of Tehran; This comes after the US not only killed Iranian Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani but also Hashed deputy chief Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

On Thursday, commander of the Iranian-backed Hashed al-Shaabi, Qais al-Khazali, vowed Iraqi revenge towards the United States after a US strike not only killed Iranian Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani but also Hashed deputy chief Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis. His vow for vengeance comes after Tehran responded to the killing of Soleimani by striking military bases belonging to US forces inside of Iraq. It appears Tehran’s willingness to respond has renewed his confidence.

Promising to respond to the death of Muhandis, Khazali stated, “That response will be no less than the size of the Iranian response. That is a promise.” A sub-faction of the terrorist group, Harakat al-Nujaba, stated, “To American soldiers: Do not close your eyes. Revenge for the martyr Muhandis is coming at the hands of Iraqis — until the last soldier among you leaves.”

One of their leaders further threatened, “The International Resistance Regiments have been formed in order to execute a harsh, deliberate response to the American terrorist forces. We will wage a war against the American presence in all parts of the region that we can reach.”
