A study from an Israeli research center reveals there are over two dozen Hezbollah missile sites throughout Lebanon; The missiles identified have connections to Hezbollah’s precision-guided missile project; Most of the launch sites are in very urban locations.
A minimum of 28 different missile launch sites have been discovered according to a report from Israel’s ALMA Research and Education Center. These sites had never been identified prior to their report.
Several of the sites are said to be located in the heart of the capital city, Beirut, and are strategically placed in extremely urban areas that consist of restaurants, recreational areas, schools, hospitals and several other buildings.
Head of the research department at ALMA, Tal Beeri, stated, “The world must understand and know that these launch sites are located at the heart of residential and urban civil infrastructure.” The report added, “Almost all of the sites are in southern Beirut, an area controlled by Hezbollah, and are located in civilian neighborhoods, inside private houses, medical centers, churches, industrial sites, public offices, fast food chains, as well as in open spaces nearby, hence activating the “human shield” tactic.”
Sadly, this is the Iranian-backed terror group’s method of guarding themselves while leaving innocent men, women and children vulnerable.
ALMA’s report also highlighted that these sites are able to facilitate the launch, production and storage of Hezbollah’s medium-range missiles, which are part of their precision-guided missile (PGM) project.
Most threatening to Israel, the report also indicated that there are sites located in the southern portion of Lebanon – north of the border of Israel. The research points to the fact that these sites are currently fully operational.
