325 people are being monitored in the state of Michigan for the coronavirus, all of whom have been in mainland China in recent weeks; These individuals are not under official quarantine but being asked to remain at home; As of right now, they are considered low to moderate risk.
After visiting mainland China in the last month, approximately 325 individuals in Michigan, USA, are now being monitored for the coronavirus. At this time, it is reported that they’re considered low to moderate risk and therefore are not under official quarantine but being asked to remain at home until they’re cleared. Several of them have already completed the requested isolation period at home and have returned to their daily schedules.
Health department officials are contacting the people daily for an update on symptoms and anyone who is reported to the local health department for symptoms of the virus or exposure to it falls under the health department’s jurisdiction. At least five individuals that have had the symptoms of the virus have all tested negative so far.
