Vice President to visit Israel for two days, followed by visit to Jordan and United Arab Emirates
United States Vice President Joe Biden will visit Israel next week where he will meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Rivlin and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Biden last met with Prime Minister Netanyahu in January at the World Economic Forum.
Biden’s visit will center on United States’ military aid to Israel as well as on Israel’s approval for settlement growth construction in the West Bank. Israel has requested an increase in aid from the United States with reports of a possible meeting between Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Obama this year.
Following his two-day visit in Israel, Biden will travel to Jordan to meet with King Abdullah II in Amman to discuss Syria and the recent ceasefire negotiations, followed by a visit to the United Arab Emirates.
