NASA signs cooperation agreement with Israel Space Agency

Second agreement signed between agencies

The Israel Space Agency signed a cooperation agreement with NASA at the 66th International Astronautical Congress. Under the agreement both the ISA and NASA will cooperate in conducting research on space technology.

It is the second bilateral agreement signed between the two agencies, the first signed in 1996 but expired in 2005.

According to NASA Administrator Charles Bolden Israel is “known for innovation and technology and this agreement gives us the opportunity to cooperate with Israel on the journey to Mars, as we open up new opportunities for all of our children.”
