Iron Dome used in defense against short-range rockets; Israel Navy carries out several tests on Wednesday, all reported successful
The IDF announced the Israel Navy’s successful testing of a new edition of the Iron Dome defense missile system at sea.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit released video footage of the successful tests carried out on Wednesday. According to reports, the development of the Iron Dome for use on the Mediterranean Sea is to protect Israel’s “strategic assets at sea”, mainly that of Israel’s gas rigs.
The Iron Dome missile defense system targets short-range rockets, downing rockets before they reach their targets.
