Over 2,000 Israelis evacuated; 95 tons of medical supplies shipped from Israel; Field hospital built
Israel’s delegation to Nepal, which includes aid workers, doctors, medics, search and rescue teams, nurses and many other teams has made Israel the largest international aid mission to the region.
Israel has already built a field hospital working with a local hospital since Wednesday, delegations sent on Sunday to the region.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit stated on the field hospital and provided aid: An advanced multi-department medical facility, equipped with approximately 95 tons of humanitarian and medical supplies from Israel and a medical staff of 122 doctors, nurses and paramedics will be rapidly established in the city of Kathmandu to provide medical care for disaster casualties…The facility will include pediatric, surgical, internal medicine, neonatal and radiology departments, as well as a maternity ward and emergency and operating rooms.”
Over 2,000 Israeli tourists in the region were also evacuated.
