IAF responds to rocket fire; 6 Palestinians killed in riots; Rioters manage to break through border fence
The Israeli Air Force responded to rocket fire on Israel Saturday night, striking two Hamas weapons manufacturing sites in the Gaza Strip.
The response comes after riots held on border with Israel through out the day Saturday, with dozens of rioters managing to break through the border fence with Israel Saturday night. The IDF was able to contain the group, avoiding infiltration into Israel.
According to reports, at least 6 Palestinians were killed by IDF artillery fire with over 60 injured.
Amidst increased violence and attacks, the IDF deployed two additional Iron Dome missile defense systems in southern Israel outside of Be’er Sheva and Ofakim Saturday.
Three rockets were fired into Israel on Friday night.
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh praised Palestinian terror attacks, mainly stabbings, calling on the Palestinian people to “start of a new intifada in all of the land of Palestine” stating that “We give our souls and blood for Jerusalem, Jerusalem and al-Aqsa is part of the religion.”
